Phillip - 12/98

Phillip is a healthy 13yo boy.  At present, Phillip has big eyes, dark skin, slim face, and is introverted.  He is mentally strong and sensitive, takes care of himself well, ready to help others, aids the caretaker to do what he can. He has unclear pronunciation, which makes him shy to strangers. However, he works hard on his exercises and has made big progress. He has normal development as kids of same age.

He is happy to communicate when he feels joy, fond of playing chess, shows respect to elders, easy going and ready to help, care about the group.

He entered Primary school on Sep. 1, 2006. He works hard, has some difficult in Chinese study due to his slowness in language; he has good math marks, does good in playing chess and making hand-craft, have excellent PE mark. 

Colton - 12/98

Colton is a healthy 13 yr old boy and has completed 6th grade at the local elementary school.  He is smart and attentive in class and is able to finish his homework. He is a middle to above level student. His caregiver says if he works harder, he could get better marks. He is extroverted and he greets teachers first when seeing them. He has a variety of interests and hobbies and he enjoys participating in all kinds of group activities. He loves playing soccer with other children especially. At home, he is well behaved, and he does age appropriate chores to help the foster mother. He has good living habits and has strong self-care ability. Since he is the elder brother in the family, he takes care of younger children. He is a sensitive child.

Colton's orphanage fee has been waived.

Kirk - 05/1998

Kirk is a healthy little boy who turns 14 years old in late May. Sadly, his mother died when he was a year old, and his father died when he was 11 years old. He has been living at the orphanage since that time. He adapted to his new environment quickly and is liked by all the teachers and kids. A polite and kind child, he works hard and shows respect to others. He enjoys watching cartoons and playing with balls. Kirk is described as smart, active, and generous. He has agreed to be adopted by a foreign family and hopes to grow up happy and give back to society. Perhaps your family can help Kirk achieve his dreams. There is a generous donation of $5,000 from an anonymous donor who has a heart for older children. This donation applies regardless of the family’s income level and is in addition to the $4,200 Promise Child grant that WACAP has available for each of these children for families who qualify based on income.

DIRE - Kyle 2/1998 - Update

Kyle needs a family to submit LOI for him in the next 7 days or he will lose his chance at a family FOREVER!!!

Here is some more information on Kyle from a family that met him:

He wanted to be adopted by my wife for sure.  He bonded with her during a orphans camp that she volunteered at this last July.  It was in Yantai.  I believe that he could still bond with another family. 

He loves basketball and airplanes.

He has not been in the orphanage all his life.  He was placed there three years ago after his mother's death.  His father died when he was about two.  His surviving family is unable to support him.

He won't talk about his mother's death.  Some of his family believe he may have witnessed it.

He is respectful and mature.

By the way, his only special need is his age.  He is normal in all accounts as far as we know.

DIRE: Kyle - 2/1998

Kyle is a sweet and very handsome boy who greatly wants a family of his own.  On admission, he is timid and strained and dare not to speak to other children. He has little words and sometimes even shed tears due to sadness. After a time of caring by the caretakers in the institute, he became more and more outgoing and can speak first to other children with more words. The staff in the institute all likes him. In the teachers’ eyes of the school, he is a compliant and sensible child. On admission, he was 9 years old and is a 3rd year student in school. He listened carefully in classes and is ready to help others. The childhood has not left a shadow on his heart. Time flies, he grows up and became more and more bright and sunny and confident. In the institute, he can get on well with others and is ready to help those in need. The little brothers and sisters like him very much and are dependent on him. In life, he would take care of those younger than him. At the same time, he has good self-care ability and has regular life. He gets up at 5:30, clean up and run on the playground at 6:00, breakfast at 6:00, arrive at school on time at 7:00. Now he is at the second year of junior high school. He makes more friends. He is passionate and knows to care about others. In study, he works hard but he likes Chinese best and is doing averagely in other subjects. After school, he often plays basketball with other children. He likes to travel out with the guidance of teachers. At this time, he would be like a happy bird, twittering all along with the teachers and students. On Sep 1, he would be a student of 3rd year when he will have more tasks. We hope he would have a bright future.

Gary - 07/1998

"Gary"  is described as an active and outgoing boy who loves sports. He is healthy and has good motor, language and social development. Gary interacts well wlith other children and is a hard worker resulting in good school performance. He likes watching sports on TV and playing soccer.

There is a total of $14475 in aid ( Including a $5000 private donation for families of all incomes and a $4200 Promise Child Grant available to eligible families to assist with this adoption. There is the possibility of up to $5000 in waived fees as well as an  application fee waiver).
