MANY kids who need families

A blogger friend asked folks to post about kids that are running out of time on her blog.  Rather than re-post about the 99 kids who are listed there now, I am just going to provide a link to her page.  Many of these kids are in Eastern European countries, some are in Asia, some have grants, they are all ages.  Please check them out and pray for each of them to find a family

Operation: Rescue

DIRE: Jonathan 12/1995

Jonathan has DAYS to find a family.  He turns 16 on 12/31.  If a family has not initiated the process for an I-600 visa for him by that date, he will forever lose his chance at a family.  He needs a family that is married, can travel, and has a homestudy that can be used for immigration approval and is willing to apply for immigration in the next week.  If a family is ready to apply they will work directly with the facilitator who knows him.

Jonathan is apparently a very, very good boy. He has a great sense of humor which has been confirmed by other kids in his class and two children who were recently adopted to U.S. He loves to work on a computer, takes part in virtually all theatrical performances organized at the orphanage, just a great actor, very calm when not on stage, never gets in trouble, loves sports and plays soccer, played basketball and trained in light athletics, studies at good level. Jonathan is respectful to adults and older children. He is obedient and always ready to help. NEEDS A FAMILY to file for immigration ASAP, can adopt later. BEGS translator when he visits if he has found his family yet, desperately wants to be adopted. Can be chatted to on Skype as well as email.

Kolina - 12/2002

While this precious child may not be in danger of legally aging out of international adoption, her time is probably very short for her to find a family.  You see, she is in a situation physically where her life expectancy is most likely very short if she remains in the orphanage.  That is why I chose to highlight Kolina today. 

This sweet little girl is literally deteriorating daily in a crib in Eastern Europe.  On December 16 she will "celebrate" her birthday.  Kolina will be nine years old. Yes, nine! She has Down syndrome. Looking at her pictures, she probably only weighs around 10-12 pounds.  If that.  Clothes cover her clearly skeletal legs, and her pitiful frame is nothing but skin and bones.  Poor little darling.

Time is obviously crucial and she needs to come home as quickly as possible. Poor lovie is living on borrowed time--she is severely malnourished. A home-study-ready family would be ideal, but at this stage, it is not essential.  Anyone wanting more information can contact Shelley at  shele337 (at) yahoo (dot)com

Dire: Jack - Eastern Europe - 11/2004

DIRE Need: Meet Jack, a sweet, affectionate little boy in Eastern Europe. There is a $5,000 grant to assist with the cost of his adoption. Jack is a cheery young boy with a sweet smile. This little guy's legs are stuck in a criss-cross position but that doesn't stop him from getting around using his upper body which is very strong. Jack has only a few weeks left to find a family.
